Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Scorvane named below. By creating an account, signing up to test or playing, you agree to them. Please read them; they are written to be plain.

Operator: Scorvane (the company that runs Scorvane is being registered; its legal name and address will be listed here)
Contact: [email protected]

1. Who can play

You must be 18 or older to use Scorvane. One account per person. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what happens on your account.

2. Test versions

The Alpha and Beta are test versions. They can crash, lose progress or change completely. We may reset (wipe) characters during testing, and nothing earned in a test is promised to carry over to the released game.

3. Your licence to play

We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play Scorvane for your own enjoyment. You don't own the game, its characters or its items; in-game items and currency have no real-money value and can't be sold or exchanged outside the game.

4. Fair play

You agree not to:

We may warn, mute, suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, and remove content that breaks them.

5. Purchases

Testing is free. When the shop opens, it will sell cosmetic items only: things that change how you look, never your strength, progress or the economy. Prices will be shown in full before you pay, with no hidden fees. Our Refund Policy explains refunds.

6. What you share

You keep ownership of what you write or say in the game, but you let us host, show and moderate it as needed to run Scorvane.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or if we stop running Scorvane, in which case we will give reasonable notice where we can.

8. No warranty

Scorvane is provided "as is" and "as available", especially during testing. As far as the law allows, we don't promise it will be error-free or always online.

9. Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of in-game progress or items. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or 50 US dollars if you paid nothing). Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer where you live.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA. Before going to court, please email us at [email protected] so we can try to fix the problem. If you live in a country whose consumer law gives you the right to bring claims in your own courts, you keep that right.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or in the game before it takes effect. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new terms.
